Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Zoe H — 15 Nov 2008
One of my very favorite Hitchcock films; it's suspenseful and engaging, wiith excellent directing and acting - especially on Robert Donat's part. (On a side note, I really wish he'd done more movies.
) While it isn't scene-for-scene faithful to the book, the changes work and the film is as exciting and interesting as the novel was.
