Smart, witty, archetypal Hitchcock thriller -- a wrongly accused man on the run from the police and picks up a sassy (and initially reluctant) woman to help him on the way to uncovering the real culprit(s) -- which moves like a bullet and has an enormously likeable and suave lead in Robert Donat, and Madeleine Carroll provides an able foil.

(It has to be said: the film does contain one of the worst death scenes in movie history... thankfully it happens early on.) The Hitchcock style was very much up and running by this point; terrific entertainment!
