Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Dan P — 30 Jan 2010
I'm not a giant hitchcock fan, he is sort of a pale imitation of a bunch of better UFA directors he was influenced by but this is an amazing film, hands down. It feels uniquely British. It has an perfect cast, a flawless story and great filming.
And don't even start on the editing. You could teach a class on that alone.
