Hitchcock's first commercial success is one of his most effective films ever, with great suspense, tension, and lighting and sillence effects. Elements worth discussing include the role of females characters, the role of countries, images of legs, and views from windows.
Very convincing performances and clever dialogue, headed by Robert Donat. A brilliant, entertaining film.
