Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Chris M — 28 Nov 2011
From the "Hitchcock Blonde" retrospective at TIFF this fall: Starring Robert Donat who plays a Canadian in London (did Hitchcock ever have another Canadian character in his films?) who helps a spy and then has to go on the lam from the police.
Though an early Hitchock film, you can easily identify his signature style.
