Review of The 39 Steps (1935) by Kenneth B — 05 Oct 2012
This is probably the best film of Hitchcock's British-era. The exciting story rarely lets up and Donat is a great leading man. Hitchcock would go on to make even better thrillers than this but this was an important development.
It's also one of Hitchcock's funniest films.
