It's the historical Battle of Thermophylae, fought between 300 Spartans headed by Leonidas and thousands of Persians headed by Xerxes. 'The 300 Spartans' is an interesting ancient war epic, and in fact, that's what inspired Frank Miller to create his "300" graphic novel.
..and a newly made version in 2007. My interest in the historical Battle of Thermophylae is just beginning to rise...
