Review of The 13th Warrior (1999) by Hannah T — 26 Sep 2011
Banderas is a talented man. Now that we have that established, here is another fact: he is only talented enough to cameo or co-star. This portrayal of an Arab emissary becoming the 13th Nordic warrior was just sufficient enough to finish the movie and nothing more.
As for the plot line itself, fighting a bunch of Natice American Ewoks isn't my idea of an epic adventure. This movie can only be characterized as the little engine that couldn't...couldn't become an equal to the likes of: three Lord of the Rings, Kingdom of Heaven, or Braveheart.
In short? Not worth your time...not by a longshot!
