Review of The 13th Warrior (1999) by Sayretx — 29 Jul 2023
This is a retelling of the Beowulf legend but with several new twists, such as an unlikely Arabic hero, a troupe of fearless Vikings, and a surprising enemy. It's based on the novel "Eaters of the Dead" by Michael Crichton, but is far superior.
There are many great examples of honor and bravery throughout. The film is very well written and you will find yourself often quoting its Norse philosophy.
