Review of That's My Boy (2012) by Luis M — 20 Feb 2015
Sometimes people forget that the main purpose of a comedy film is to make us laugh. This is something that "That's My Boy" provides a lot of. Sure, there are some racist jokes in there, Sandler's accent can get annoying, and at times the movie makes the viewer a little uncomfortable.
However, this should not be unexpected from an Adam Sandler movie. There were multiple occasions during the movie where I was crying from laughter. For this reason, "That's My Boy" deserves a lot of credit.
It might be Sandler's finest work after "Happy Gilmore" and Andy Samberg does an excellent job playing as Sandler's awkward but successful son. If you're looking for an extremely funny movie and don't mind the problems in the plot, this movie definitely fits the bill.
