Review of That Thing You Do! (1996) by Colin G — 10 Jul 2010
I thought the first hour or so was really fun and interesting. Once they reach stardom the movie loses a lot of its momentum. They also reeeeeally could have used a second song, they play the titular song about a dozen times and by the end I was dreading it.
The last half hour or so, when the singer becomes artsy and angry, steve zahn goes insane and gets married, and the bassist joins the army seems like a totally different movie.
