I think the only awkward thing about this movie was the fact that I enjoyed it as much as I thought I would. That Awkward Moment obviously isn't a great movie; it's a typical, formulaic romantic comedy that really lacks in humor at times.

I think what got me into this movie though was its characters because I found this movies characters were really likeable and enjoyable to watch. Again their character arks are very clichéd and you know how each of their stories is going to end, but honestly I didn't care because I just enjoyed watching them.

Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller star as the three main characters and performance wise they did a good. The three of them worked well off each other and the scenes that made me laugh were all because of these three.

Ever since I saw the movies Fruitvale Station and The Spectacular Now I've got high hopes for the actors Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller. I'm glad both of those actors did a good job in this movie and I'm glad they didn't ruin their careers by playing in this movie, which I thought was going to happen.

Zac Efron is also in this movie and like most people I've never been a fan of the guy, but I thought he did an okay job in the movie. I know in the future Zac Efron is going to be in fewer movies, so until that day comes I think we're just going to have to put up with him.

Anyways this film was directed by Tom Gormican and this is his first directorial debut and I guess for a first film he did an okay job, but he could've started out better. I don't think the direction in this movie was bad, I just thought the film was lazy and a bit contrived.

Honestly this movie would've probably sucked if it wasn't for its lead characters. The comedy in this movie wasn't very strong, the script was very basic, the story was really clichéd and the direction wasn't top notch.

That Awkward Moment is pretty much a romantic comedy for guys and that's maybe why I liked it so much because they don't make a lot of movies like that. So yeah! This movie was very unoriginal and there's nothing special about it whatsoever, but luckily its likeable characters make the movie an enjoyable watch.
