Review of ThanksKilling (2008) by Garrett A — 02 Jun 2011
Good: So completely bad and ridiculous you'lll be laughing, especially with friends.
Bad: Ridiculous plot, awful acting, bad script, no attention to detail, bad costumes.
A movie about a killer turkey that rises up every 505 years to hunt and kill whites. This cycle through his killing he will be going after a fat redneck, a jock, a nerd, a skank, and a good girl. They will have to fight to survive until they can figure out how to kill the demonic turkey....if they can. This is a really difficult movie to judge by stars. This is a movie to watch and expect to be bad, and you should laugh about how bad it is. It is a movie that will be two times funnier if you watch it with your friends. The plot is ridiculous, and if the turkey comes out every 505 years why is he coming out now? That's not the correct time. The writing is awful, characters acting differently in scenes. The jock at one point says "Guys, calm the F down", then in later scenes is swearing all over the place. The acting is atrocious, the characters go too into their characters, like the skank, and overexaggerate motions and dialogue to the point where it seems fake. The costumes are one the of the worst aspects on some people, like the sheriff's moustache. All in all, no matter how many negative things this movie has going for it, you can't help but laugh and enjoy yourself at how bad it is.
