Review of Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) by Crankyerma — 18 Feb 2022
Fun film. It mocked a lot of the postmodernist tropes of current cinema, actually portrayed rural characters as more than one dimensional monsters and called out the postmodern coastal elitist set on some of their unselfaware hypocrisy.
All the characters had more depth than you'd expect. I actually cared about more than one person in this which surprised me. Some inventive kills and it's an all out glorious SPLATTERFEST. It's nice when folks in the entertainment industry remember that their primary function is to "entertain.
