Nastassja Kinski is just perfect as Tess, she looks like an innocent girl,but also has something seductive and charming. It's just perfect. I actually watched the movie, because I was curious to know about what the book is.
It's a tragic story with a sad ending... But it's a well made movie, perhaps one of the best of Polanski.
