Review of Terms of Endearment (1983) by Codie E — 24 Mar 2008
James L. Brooks has such a talent for writting wonderful, true and enjoyable relations between people; be they mother/daughter, mother/son, man/woman. And in this case Winger, MacLaine, Nicholson and the rest of the cast give life to McMurtry and Brooks' words with such vibrancy and belief.
My only real problem with the film is the very dated aesthetic and typical eighties sheen. But even this is forgivable amid such a wonderful film.
