Review of Terms of Endearment (1983) by Aren B — 19 Jan 2010
A series of loosely connected scenes of over-the-top melodrama, awkward humor, and frustrating 'character-moments,' "Terms of Endearment" is the weakest Best Picture winner I've come across.
Not even strong performances by John Lithgow, Jeff Daniels, and Jack Nicholson can save this film from its trite sentimentality, or its horrid musical score.
This review of Terms of Endearment (1983) was written by Aren B on 19 Jan 2010.
Terms of Endearment has generally received very positive reviews.
