Review of Terminator Salvation (2009) by President P — 04 May 2013
Terminator 2: Judgment Day made the impending apocalypse look awesome, however, Terminator Salvation shows it truly wasn't. Salvation is giant cluster fuck of mediocre acting, storytelling, writing, and direction.
Some scenes are great action wise, but most scenes are truly uninteresting and very poorly done. It is sort of nice to see how the film sets up at the very beginning, but not fifteen minutes in the films problems show.
As I said in my review Terminator 3 was not needed because Judgment Day tied up all the lose ends, so we thought. Salvation on the other hand is very unneeded, on account of the entire plot of this was revealed in the first three films this didn't need to be produced.
Sadly, it was and the result is garbage. Salvation doesn't have any heart like the first two, nor any badass action from the third and simply can't make anything remotely interesting to watch.
The CGI is unimpressive since we've seen this shit for the past decade and again like overly CGI films adds nothing to the story. In short, Terminator Salvation is truly terrible and a greedy cash grab by the ass hats WB.
