Can I ask how McG is even a director? Every movie he's done he gives a half ass effort. He now tries to create something awesome by having The Terminator set in the apocalyptic aftermath of Skynet. Seems like it could be good! He knows how to make elaborate use of big budget special effects and intense action, but when it comes to dialogue and story, well not so much happening. Christain Bale plays as John Connor. Certified pick right? Wrong. I loved him in Batman and American Psycho, but the way his dialogue and voice comes off here is downright silly. Cudoes to Anton Yelchin and Sam Worthington though. Anton Yelchin plays as the perfect young version of Kyle Reese with charisma and likable effort. Sam Worthington is starting to break out into headlining big movies now and does a great job here. Probably his best performance really showing off his Arnold like skills. I was hoping for more depite what I just said. The story seems intriguing at first especially with the setting, terminators, apocalypse, and bleak look. Instead, it turns out to be pretty flat and illogical. Salvation definitely has the best action and special effects, but that's about it.
