Review of Terminator Salvation (2009) by John D — 07 Mar 2015
Before watching, I thought this was like the prequel of everything. Though this is the sequel after what happened to T3, and Skynet evolved as they created more terminators to vanish all humanity. But seriously, I didn't mind the story line anymore after they washed up T3, and down to a crushing disappointment.
This is like the all time low for the franchise. It has all the visuals and looks, but still it's "un-engaging" in terms of story telling. I'm a gamer, it kinda reminds me of a post apocalyptic video game, I combine Call of duty, and Crysis at the same time.
I do enjoy the action sequences with those awesome CGI visuals. And as much as I like Christian Bale as an actor. He is the only one who gives life in this movie. Others are crap, I mean, Sam Worthington should stop doing everything else.
He's emotionless acting as usual. And McG directs it, man, what would you expect from McG. I can see that, there's a little bit of cheesy romance going on between Sam and that girl named Moon.
I mean, this should be a bad ass Terminator sequel. Pretty disappointing sequel from what could have been an awesome franchise. Good for rent, good movie for HDTV exhibits. 3/5.
