Review of Terminator Salvation (2009) by Mark A — 06 Feb 2018
It's a movie which looks absolutely awesome, thanks to some good cinematography. The costumes, set designs, locations, and CGI, are top draw, and all of the performances are good. It looks and feels like a post apocalyptic world, however, all of these aspects act as just surface-there doesn't feel like there's a lot of depth to the movie.
It's typical of a director (McG) who began his career in a music industry, which is all surface these days. The story works reasonably well-it doesn't drag-the tone and violence is definitely true to the original '84 movie, although, it's never that enthralling, and you'll never care enough about the characters.
Overall, a good looking movie-a solid sci-fi flick-just not amazing.
