James Cameron's now classic sci-fi spectacle is a dazzling sci-fi epic which is truly a masterpiece of it's genre. Arnold Schwarzennegger returns in a marvelous larger-than-life performance in the role that made him a superstar as the Terminator T-800 cyborg from the future who is sent this time to protect John Connor, wonderfully played by young Edward Furlong in an impressive film debut, who is boy that is destined to become the leader of the freedom fighters of the future that will defeat Skynet and the machines.

Sarah Connor the quintessential survivor played again by Linda Hamilton in a exceptionally brilliant performance has been institutionalized for her revelations of the inevitable nuclear holocaust. Hamilton's Sarah Connor has grown from a meek victim in the first film to a rebellious bad-ass with years of combat training from all sorts of mercenaries.

The Terminator and her son help her breakout of the mental institution and together they must now face the ultimate enemy and the most lethal killing machine ever built, the T-1000, played memorably by Robert Patrick who is amazing in the role of the shape-shifting assassin made of mimetic poly-ally"liquid metal" that allows it to take the shape and appearance of anything it touches.

Incredible Oscar winning groundbreaking visual effects. This film is a staple in the evolution of CGI technology that James Cameron and his team started with his other sci-fi epic "The Abyss" and has now brought to the next plateau.

Sensational direction by James Cameron, and superb supporting performances by Earl Boen, Joe Morton, S. Epatha Merkerson, Jeanette Goldstein, and Xander Berkeley, striking Oscar nominated by cinematography by Adam Greenberg, with a fine score by Brad Fiedel.

This visual tour-de-force is one of the best sci-fi films ever made period. Highly Recommended.
