Review of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) by Danny O — 07 Aug 2014
T2 surpasses the original in ways I did not expect. The acting is very good, especially from a young kid, who gave a surprisingly convincing performance. The idea of Arnold returning as a good terminator and the way it was set up was so clever.
The new villain is awesome, and the effects used to make him melt into liquid metal were great. The action is exciting, and very fun to watch. It's not one big chase scene though, the film slows down at times to give its characters more depth, which is something that wasn't as heavily used in the first.
The story is interesting, the soundtrack fits the movie perfectly, and it really does warrant multiple viewings. I honestly have no complaints with this film, and have to give it my highest grade. Terminator 2: Judgement Day gets 5/5 stars (A+).
