Review of Ten Inch Hero (2007) by Lindsey T — 12 Nov 2008

I'm probably giving this movie a better rating than it deserves, 'cuz I'm nice like that. This movie was pretty watchable, but not necessarily "good". There's no actual plot or theme to the whole thing (unless you want to count "Let's watch the lives of the random employees at a quirky sub shop!" as a strong plot) and the characterizations are shallow, at best.

Jensen Ackles and Clea Duvall fare best here, but it's a shame they are given so little to work with and both of their characters still make bizarre, inexplicable decisions. Yet, the movie does have a good heart and with stronger writing/directing, it could've been something like 'Empire Records'.
