Review of Temple Grandin (2010) by Kim B — 01 Oct 2012
Funny and heartwarming, a relevant movie in our times. Danes does a wonderful job in her role (who knew)? shows the possibility within the human spirit. I could totally relate to this movie from my work and life, was not a glamorized portrayal.
Although they prob couldve explained she had asburgers (high functioning autism), since most ppl dont understand its a spectrum disorder. I liked that the film showed her thought process. She seems like she really followed her life path and turned her challenges into success.
Someone who really understands themself. She was blessed with great support and obviously is brilliant. It really made me mad to see how ignorantly the cows and her were treated. Hope this movie will shed some light on both.
I agree with her that their deaths don't have to be so traumatic n scary, they should go peacefully. The documentary with her in it made me realize for the first time how autism really was (also a great see), saw that when I was like 19.
