Review of Temple Grandin (2010) by Tom B — 08 Apr 2013
From the director of Jacob Bronowski's The Ascent Of Man! I give it four stars for being a solid made-for-HBO movie, with an extra star for being a damn great story. They should show movies like this in school.
Apparently they don't in my son's school. Fascinating story of Temple Grandin, who has high-functioning autism, is completely and intelligently compelling and uplifting. You will see the world in a new way, and feel good.
Contains enough cinematic language to satisfy film-lovers, bodes well for humanity in general that this woman single-handedly changed the face of the nation. I expect the effects of her work to open more doors.
I couldn't stop watching once it got underway. It's amazing to see her overcome the social hurdles. Great stuff!
