Review of Temple (2017) by Nell A — 08 Dec 2017

There is a lot of potential in this film. Its execution is respectful to its genre and to J-Horror, the actors are actually quite impressive, the settings and cinematography are beautiful. It just lacks a compelling story or arc, and is just too predictable.

The twists were predictable and yet the ending annoyingly vague. I don't want to bag this movie because it was clearly made with love and good performances. Also a personal pet peeve of mine was the constant suggestion that the lead characters should be together - but then it never happens.

I was actually rooting for them.
