Review of Tell Your Children (1938) by Rj R — 01 Jan 2006
This movie cracked me up...
I'm still attempting to figure out if this was a serious thing back in the 30s that has just become laughable today or what. The promises of violent acts and uncontrollable behavior after smoking marijuana were unfounded and extremely funny. I really didnt know that consistent laughter was such a bad thing! The acting is horrible, the pianted color film looks really bad, and the message in general is skewed. All this goes into the 8/10, because it's all so damn funny.
The best had to be the "Grandpa Ganja" movie that is in the special features for the DVD. There's nothing better than listening to a senior citizen rant on about how to smoke, how to hide, how to grow, how to get, and how to love mary jane.
If you've ever smoked marijuana before you will love this movie! If you're offended by it or you agree with it then chances are....you've never smoked marijuana...
Yeah, since when is a drug that can kill you the first try or cause your body to overheat giving you a heart attack less of a menace then marijuana....the most it does is give you the mad munchies.
