Review of Tell Your Children (1938) by Alouise D — 03 May 2008
This being a cult classic, I recently decided I had to see this movie. It was quite odd and quite funny. I really can't imagine how this would have been effective, even in the 30's, to get teenages to not smoke pot.
My favorite part was the subliminal message of "420" that flashed on screen, when Billy is first in Mae and Jack's apartment. I don't know if that was in the original film, or if it was added later but it's blatant oiviousness made me laugh.
Now I just have to wait to get hold of Reefer Madness The Musical.
