Review of Tell Your Children (1938) by Michael M — 17 Mar 2012
The definition of propaganda. When most of your argument is made up and frankly, quite stupid. Still, it is kind of entertaining to see people exaggerate the dangers of marijuana, making it out to be the holy mother of terrible things you can do to yourself.
Nowadays, Reefer Madness is a pretty poor propaganda film (unless you were to use it on a particularly young and naive audience), and on some level it's laughable. But, at the same time, it is a rather famous movie, so if you get the chance, whether you're for or against marijuana, this is a movie you should check out (just make sure you see the re-released version.
The original 30s version has terrible audio).
