First off....read the book, read the book, read the book, read the book. Got that?
Now that you've read the book take a look at this excellent adaptation that is on par with the source material (how often can you say that?) It's twisty, taut, well-made, the music is spot-on, and even though I knew the ending I still was kept on the edge of my seat.
If Hitchcock is your bag this is one film you need to seek out...you won't be disappointed.
