Review of Tell No One (2006) by Steven D — 24 Aug 2012
I've heard so much praise for this but I have to say after buying it on dvd I was quite disappointed. It's competently made, but I just didn't find it very thrilling. Personally I don't think it's a patch on a film such as The Fugitive.
Some may argue that it's a more intelligent film but I really don't think it is; I understood every plot point and actually found it bordering on convoluted at times. There's one good set piece (which is featured in the trailer anyway) and the rest is very wordy, in a minutiae type way rather than featuring gripping dialogue between characters.
I've really wanted to see the film ever since I read that Michael Caine rates it among his ten favourite films of all time, but I'll have to disagree with him here.
