Review of Tekken (2010) by Michael V — 08 Nov 2011
This isn't actually all that bad considering what else is out there for movies based off of fighting video games. With fast-paced action, brief dialogues and some dazzling fight sequences, one can easily get taken away by the Tekken action, even if they are ludicrous.
The plot is predictable, even with its twist involving Jin and chief villain Kazuya Mishima and his father Heihachi. Indeed, the narrative barely helps to sustain the action sequences and the fighting scenes get repetitive and stale in the second half of the film.
Gary Daniels is fun to watch and Luke Goss does his best. You can do a lot worse. Just look at the Mortal Kombat sequel or Legend of Chun Li.
