Review of Teeth (2000) by Carla V — 12 Oct 2010
Every once in a while a movie comes along which is distinguished by its internet campaign: Trick 'r Treat, The Human Centipede, The Blair Witch Project, etc. Teeth doesn't merit the hype. For most of its running time it can't commit to what kind of film it wants to be.
You have to wait until the film is almost over before the titular "teeth" really make their appearance, which they never *actually* do, so imagine a monster movie where you never get to see the monster.
It's just kind of a wacky, incongruous mix of David Cronenberg "body horror" and But I'm A Cheerleader-style dumbo humor.
