Review of Teeth (2000) by Deidre H — 16 Oct 2010
The thing I love about this movie is it's originality. I don't know about you, but I haven't seen any other vagina dentata movies. Looking at the synopsis, I thought that this movie would be a cheesy low-end B-movie.
Cheesy it is, however, if you were to say this is a B-movie, you'd be wrong. The acting, the shots, the editing, and the concept is very unique. Dawn does a great job of expressing her sexuality later in the film.
I've always believed that a good actor can change their persona in a split second, and I feel that's what Dawn did. It really gives the women in the audience a sense of power over all the downfalls in their lives.
It is sort of feminist, but who cares? That's the point, right? Anyway, I enjoyed it and thought it was something I might go back and watch again later.
