Review of Teeth (2000) by Leonel L — 21 Jun 2012
I'm glad someone put this film in the Comedy genre because it had me in stitches most of the way through.
I like the fact users and abusers get what they deserve but I didn't like how it suggested that Dawn was essentially a religious person but had no inner conflict or remorse in doing the things she does or makes any effort to repent.
Essentially this film is all about girl power or rather, the lack thereof, suggesting that all men want is to use women for sex. Unfortunately, the film sends out mixed signals as it shows that Dawn lacks the desire to develop any meaningful relationship, because at the first opportunity she rejects it completely, suggesting that actually she wants sex more than a relationship as much as the men and she can't cope with her own desires.
It isn't particularly graphic or gory and the bits that are a bit gruesome just made me laugh.
