Review of Tees Maar Khan (2010) by Robyn S — 27 Dec 2010
Warning!! Leave your brain at home before coming to watch this! Don't even bring 10% of it! The movie is overfilled with PJs throughout. The first quarter of the film is torturous, after which the plot develops a bit.
The saving grace of this film are the numerous spoofs of hits like Rang De Basanti, Peepli Live, Taal, and Slumdog Millionaire. Akshaye Khanna is hilarious, and Katrina Kaif is terrific. Akshay Kumar has overacted and become increasingly cocky with each of his films.
Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan's cameos are great. Songs are terrific. Not up to par with Farah's films with SRK, but if you're in the mood for a no-brainer masala potboiler with fun music and hilarious spoofs, albeit with silly jokes, than this can surely be enjoyable.
