While not as bad as the first one, this sequel manages to be nothing special here either. The story itself is just full of fan service to try to get fans nostalgia to blindly make them like this movie, and even without it, this movie would have just been like the original, dull and boring.
The action scenes are not that exciting and lose tension because of bad, if anything at all, character development. The CGI is is once again terrible looking with no improvement. And the humor does nothing to make a intelligent person laugh.
Overall, instead of actually trying to improve on the franchise, it just makes it continue to displease fans and moviegoers alike.
