Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016) by Lariste K — 08 Mar 2017
Not as painfully sexist as the 2014 original, and as usual the ILM CGI images are smooth and silky, despite the Turtles looking more like over-accessorized monster movie characters than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Megan Fox can't act and Ivy League thesp Pete Ploszek brings little life to his voice acting role as Leonardo, the groups nominal leader (and a person armed with deadly weapons, which never really equates to much in the Turtle run-of-things.
) NT2 is a film that shouldn't really exist, although comic fans will note that Eastman and Laird, authors of the original mid-eighties satire book contributed to this Bay-mercial about toys, explosions and inanity.
Michael Bay, and Zack Snyder both have the dubious honor of ruining peoples childhood memories of perfectly harmless pop culture rubbish in the service of making a buck.
