Review of Samurai Spy (1965) by Zack B — 13 Mar 2013
This movie completely failed to engage me in any way. The narrator sounds monotone and could put you to sleep, and the plot is not the problem. The problem is that the characters only speak in exposition, and they expect you to know who and what they are talking about.
They literally have conversations where Person A: this happened at this place with these guys, Person B: oh no! They expect you to already know the back story without explaining it. It bothered me and I didn't care who was who or what by the film's end.
