Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993) by Robert T — 27 Jan 2008
Though the idea of the group transporting back in time sounded weird, but I think they did it several times in the cartoon series. Why was it a problem in this movie? Though I have to agree with most of the reviewers, this film was the weakest out of the bunch, but it was still interesting and fun.
It was neat how April O'Neil had a much larger role in this movie than the previous two, and we get to see Splinter a lot, too. Though the film was a little too commercial at times, it was still engaging.
The film's story and plot were bearable, but it wasn't strong, and the introduction of new characters were alright. There were a few new characters that annoyed me, ie: the young Japanese kid named Yoshi.
Every time I hear that name, it always reminded me of the Yoshi from the "Super Mario Bros." franchise. Overall, the film was fun, but wasn't as strong.
