Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) by Rdpen P — 14 Jan 2015
This was worse than I thought. Bad story. Horrible acting. Crap writing. No warmth to the characters, setting, story, etc. The digitized turtles and supporting characters are not breakthroughs, but a poor attempt at rejuvenating this franchise.
If you're going to give this reboot a PG-13 rating, at least make it fully dark, without the Nickelodeon assurance that it might appeal to a new generation. It's hardly for kids when the whole movie supports violence and foot is clad with semi-automatic rifles.
Unfortunately this did well at the box office and now we have to hear about the second one.
Michelangelo's one-liners were completely nauseating.
