Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) by Grant H — 16 Jul 2015

Actually an ok movie. As an action movie, it's stylish, well-choreographed, and offers good visual effects, as a reboot, it works in re-introducing the characters to the world, but as a Turtles movie, it doesn't work that much.

The new origin story for the all of the characters is extremely frustrating and not well thought out, the idea to have Shredder operate in a metal suit seems like Michael Bay wanting to cross his Transformers into the film.

The casting, however, was well-done, each voice actor portraying their character well, and the film had a decent amount of humor.
