Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) by Tom B — 07 Mar 2018
The best thing about the 2014 TMNT reboot is that Michael Bay's production team has its trademark lighting and special effects plastered all over everything that the film has to offer. Without this superior editing facet, the movie is just a poorly modernized live-action cartoon that upcasts itself with every beneficial TRANSFORMERS attribute that's replicable.
The final product is an amusing (yet juvenile) Ninja Turtle adventure that manages to steer clear of its destined megaflop pigeonhole, by imposing dark costumes and excessive CGI astride a prosaic storyline.
