Did people expect an Oscar caliber film or something? If you are looking for a fun reinterpretation of the TMNT franchise, then this is a film that you should watch. Sure the Turtles redesigns were a bit strange at first, but they retained their personalities, albeit brought to the 21st century.
Not as bad as people thought it would be.
