Review of Teen Wolf (1985) by Greg R — 05 Nov 2010
Pretty terrible, especially looking at it objectively now, but it has a lot of heart, and it's certainly watchable. Michael J. Fox elevates it, James Hampton is sweet as Scott's dad, and Susan Ursitti is adorable. "Stiles" needs his ass kicked and falls squarely in the "obligatory 80s movie wacky best friend" role. Coach Bobby Finstock might be in my top 10 favorite movie teachers; definitely in my top 5 movie coaches.
"There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.".
Words of wisdom, man. Words of wisdom.
