Review of Teen Wolf (1985) by Nolanlundgaard — 03 May 2018
I had been hooked on watching movies made in the 80s and saw Teen Wolf last night. It was not as good as Back to the Future or The Karate Kid, but it certainly captured the charm anyone could hope for in a movie coming from that era.
I appreciated the message of being yourself instead of doing what society would want of you. This theme is lacking in most recent movies, so I enjoyed seeing it in this production. The only real dinger from Teen Wolf was the excessive amount of unnecessary sexual content and innuendo that (mostly) wasn’t related to the plot.
Then again, perhaps it reinforces the tension between the two girls and one boy drama that most films set in high school have. All in all, Teen Wolf was an enjoyable movie. I would absolutely recommend it.
