Review of Teen Titans Go! To the Movies (2018) by Dustin C — 27 Jul 2018

The problem with this movie and most of the glowing reviews from the Audience PoV because trusting critic reviews is about as smart as trusting you life insurance policy to a undertaker is that there all from the PoV of the parents of children.

This scews a already scewed system because the adults(not being the target audience) are speaking for there kids whether they actually told good old mom and dad if they liked it or not. I went into this not expecting much because I was a fan of OG Teen Titans from the early 2000's but I have a free movie a week so I gave it a shot.

Unsurprisingly its a movie based on a cartoon 'made for kids' but not really because it REALLY enjoys referencing the OG cartoons meaning current kids wont get the jokes. Outside that its alot of the movie throwing pretty benign jokes one after another while the movie progressively elboys you in the side harder and harder as the movie goes on going 'eh ehhh pretty funny right' the whole time.

So overall sub par but then again I wasn't expecting good from it given the source materiel.
