Review of Ted (2012) by Diego S — 22 Dec 2013
Entertaining but ruined by the ending. Moronic portrayal of a fantasy romance and the glorification of a soulless, arrogant snake (the type who in reality destroys men and leaves them emotionally crippled for years).
What a reprehensible message to send to young men. But I guess this is typical of an entertainment industry that promotes a vision of life that has as much to do with reality as a high school American history textbook.
I'm sorry, but this movie was a huge let down. A good test of your intelligence can be found in whether or not watching its anti-climax it annoys you.
Doctor Demento, mad scientist and certified movie critic, refuses to even make his experimental lab rats watch this drivel. Highly recommended if you seek a more painful substitute for an old fashioned lobotomy.
The movie would have been much better though with a more palatable ending: Ms. Sophisticated screws her boss, dumps Dirk Diggler, who then goes on to have a healthy relationship with his newly single and accepting co-worker and lives happily ever after with Ted.
That wouldn't have been so hard, now would it?
