Racist?? Apparently the only way America can fight a non-racist war is killing Germans. They're in AFRICA, morons! All you whinners out there didn't mind screaming from the hilltops about the (very) few Vietnam atrocities committed by American troops.
Well, this is simply a movie about how everyone wishes it could have been back there. It's the Forest Gump of war movies. Now nobody said Gump was Hollywood BS just because it portrays the way we wish things really were, did they.
Now get your over-educated, over-thinking, overly critical heads out of your respective a**es and enjoy the movie for what it is. I'm amazed you people would rather think John Wayne was really a hero more than you are willing to believe it about the American military.
(That John Wayne stuff--just a bunch of Hollywood BS). Sheeze.
